What this covers
These terms cover yourmathmom.com and Homework Huddle (the Standard Decoder, the Parent Playbook — method guides and homework scripts — and Challenge Corner). The site is operated by Scaling Better on behalf of Your Math Mom. By using the site you agree to these terms. You must be at least 18 to create an account or subscribe.
The free tier
Every account gets 2 free starter decodes (they never expire), and after those are used, 1 free decode per calendar month. Set 1 of every Challenge Corner grade and the full Parent Playbook are free for everyone. We may adjust free-tier amounts going forward; anything you've already received stays yours.
Subscriptions
- Homework Huddle Unlimited is $12/month, billed by Stripe. Checkout and billing statements show Scaling Better, the studio behind yourmathmom.com.
- Cancel anytime from your Account page (the 👤 icon in the menu) — you keep access through the end of the paid period, and there are no cancellation fees.
- Fair use: "unlimited" means unlimited human use, not scripted or automated use. Accounts are limited to 300 decodes per month and one household per account. Reselling, sharing accounts broadly, or automating requests may result in suspension.
- If a payment fails, Stripe retries it; access ends if the subscription reaches a terminal unpaid state.
What Homework Huddle is (and isn't)
Decoder and Challenge Corner responses are AI-generated general educational guidance for parents. We work hard to make them accurate and kind, but they can contain mistakes, and they are not professional educational, psychological, or medical advice. Your child's teacher and school remain the authority on what their class expects.
Tutoring services are arranged separately with Katie and are not governed by the subscription.
Acceptable use
Don't attempt to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service; don't use it to generate content unrelated to K–8 math; don't submit other people's personal information. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms, with a refund of any unused paid period if the suspension wasn't for abuse.
The legal bits
- Site content (text, design, characters) belongs to Your Math Mom / Scaling Better. You're welcome to use Decoder and Challenge Corner outputs at home with your family.
- The service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
- These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the home state of Scaling Better. If any part is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
- We may update these terms; the effective date above will change, and continued use after an update means acceptance.
